Casey Dermatology was established in 1976 by Dr Terry Casey. Today, the practice that he founded continues under his daughter, Dr Genevieve Casey, whose motivation is to practice medicine true to her father’s standards and ethic.

Dr Terry Casey established his private practice on Wickham Terrace in 1976 and when his daughter Genevieve graduated as a dermatologist, they worked together in the practice, as well as flying to rural clinics in Bundaberg, Biloela and Emerald. Sadly, on the 31st May 2018 Dr Terry Casey passed away suddenly from cancer. In his 42 years of private and public dermatology service, he also trained many dermatology registrars at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, and Queensland Children’s Hospital. Dr Terry Casey has left an indelible mark on Queensland dermatology. He is remembered not only for his medical acumen, but also his kind and gentle manner - and dry sense of humour.
