Dr Genevieve Casey

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Genevieve Casey is a consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Casey is a Visiting Medical Officer at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and consults in private practice on Wickham Terrace, and in Redcliffe.

Dr Casey completed her medical residency, and dermatology residency under the tutelage of her father, Dr Terry Casey, at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital. She commenced dermatology specialist training in New South Wales, and was then awarded the Australasian College of Dermatologists' Research Fellowship to complete two years of dermatology specialist training at Oxford University Hospitals, England. During her time in Oxford, she specialised in melanoma and skin cancer treatment, inflammatory skin diseases, cutaneous lymphoma, genetic skin diseases, patch testing, hair and nail disorders, and women’s and paediatric dermatology. Dr Casey completed her final years of dermatology training at the major teaching hospitals in Adelaide, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Having qualified as a dermatologist, she returned to Brisbane to commence in private practice alongside her father, Dr Terry Casey. In 2016, she undertook the British Society of Paediatric Dermatology Fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Dr Casey specialises in melanoma and skin cancer management, general inflammatory dermatology including acne, eczema and psoriasis, as well as women’s and paediatric dermatology. She continues to co-author major dermatology textbooks including Lebwohl’s Treatment of Skin Disease and Harper’s Textbook of Paediatric Dermatology.

Dr Lena von Schuckmann

Consultant Dermatologist
BSc, MBBS, MPH, PhD, FRACGP, FACD

Dr Lena von Schuckmann is a consultant Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She consults in private practice on Wickham Terrace and in Mount Samson (Samford Valley).

Dr von Schuckmann completed her dermatology specialist training at various major hospitals in Queensland, including at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater and Queensland Children’s Hospital. Dr von Schuckmann worked as a General Practitioner in Queensland for several years prior to completing her specialist dermatology training.

With a strong interest in research, Dr von Schuckmann has completed a PhD on identifying risk factors for melanoma recurrence. She currently holds a position as a senior research fellow at the University of Queensland, where her research is focused on prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer.

Dr von Schuckmann has a special interest in women’s dermatology and the assessment and treatment of skin cancer. She is committed to providing compassionate and individualised care to her patients.

Dr Dallas Gramp

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Dallas Gramp is a consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Gramp is a Visiting Consultant Dermatologist at the Gold Coast University Hospital and consults in private practice on Wickham Terrace, and at Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast.

Dr Gramp completed her medical residency at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. She commenced dermatology specialist training in Victoria and New South Wales and completed her final year of training at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital under the tutelage of Dr Terry Casey. She is a general dermatologist with interests including melanoma and skin cancer management, paediatric and women’s dermatology, and inflammatory skin diseases including acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.

Dr Kieran Rowe

Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
MBBS BMedSci FRACS(Plas) DipMus

Dr Kieran Rowe is a consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Team and Hand Clinic at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and consults in private practice in Brisbane.

A former Dux at Anglican Church Grammar School, Dr Rowe studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne where he received a full residential scholarship from Trinity College. He commenced his Plastic Surgery specialist training in Melbourne, before returning home to Brisbane to complete his training at the major Plastic Surgery teaching hospitals, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital. Dr Rowe is the Director of Training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Dr Rowe specialises in Skin Cancer surgery, Head and Neck surgery and Hand surgery.

Ms Emily Casey

Registered Nurse
BA BNursing

Emily is a Registered Nurse and member of the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association. She is a Clinical Nurse in Dermatology at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and works in private practice in our Wickham Terrace rooms.

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Queensland before completing her Bachelor of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology. She then went on to work in both private dermatology practices and Paediatric Emergency at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. Emily was appointed the first Dermatology Clinical Nurse position at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, working alongside her father, Dr Terry Casey. She continues to work as the Dermatology Clinical Nurse as well as the Theatre Nurse in our Wickham Terrace rooms, and is also studying Masters of Nurse Practitioner at the University of Queensland.
